The day I came up with The Body Language Method, I knew something big had happened. Not in a dramatic, let's-party-and-order-strippers kind of way, but in a holy shit, this could change the way women relate to their bodies kind of way.
I just knew.
I spent the day sitting by our rooftop pool in Tulum, thinking about everything I had learned over the last twenty years about my health, my relationships, my growth, my downfalls, and what changed when I finally started paying attention and giving a shit about the most important relationship in my life…the one I have with my body.

Suddenly everything felt incredibly clear:
Your body has never stopped communicating with you.
And once I saw it that way, I couldn't unsee it.
I remember telling Jake that I wanted photos from that day because I knew it was a pivotal moment not just in my life but the way women relate to their bodies. It literally still makes my heart skip a beat when I think about that moment. And because it felt like something worth celebrating, my first instinct was champagne.
That's what celebration had always looked like to me. But instead of bottles, we poured literally one single ounce. Because I didn't want to interrupt how good I already felt naturally. That seriously surprised me (and anyone else who has known me for the last 20 years). I wanted the ritual of celebrating…the flute, the bubbles, the sound of clinking glasses, marking the moment. I just didn't want the feeling of alcohol because I already felt euphoric.
So I made this instead.
Sparkling water, lime, a splash of apple cider vinegar, whatever fruit we had around. That day, it was watermelon. It's stupid simple. Which is exactly why I love it. I didn't have to give up the moment because the old version of the ritual didn't fit me anymore.
I just changed the response.
- A splash of apple cider vinegar
- A squeeze of fresh lime
- Sparkling water, I used mixed berry
- Fresh fruit for garnish, watermelon was what I had
Add everything to a glass you LOVE drinking out of. Ice if you want it.
That's literally it. The vibe matters more than the recipe here.
For a long time, I associated certain feelings with certain behaviors. Celebration meant champagne. Vacation meant margaritas. Stress meant wine. Those associations can become so automatic that you stop asking whether you even want the drink itself. That day, I realized…
I wanted to celebrate. I wanted something beautiful… I craved something bubbly… But then I paused and thought…I don't need alcohol to make this moment count.
The moment counted regardless.
What ritual do you still love, even if the old version of it no longer fits you?
